Currently the largest SimplePlanes Discord server, the SimplePlanes Builder’s Chat (abbreviated, SPBC) was created August 14, 2017 by the user Dllama4.
Overview[]
The SimplePlanes Builder’s Chat was created by the user, Dllama4 on August 14, 2017. Upon it’s creation several members of the SimplePlanes community had speculated that the server was created as a result of the disbanding of the so-called, SP Underlings, a Discord Server which was created mainly to attack the SimplePlanes Master Chat (SPMC). Shortly after, it was clear that the server had no connection to the SP Underlings and was created out of Dllama4‘s desire to create and own a Discord server.

Soon after the server had been created, many notable members of the community had joined. The server quickly gained popularity and recognition from site moderators and developers who had also joined. The server is still recognized as the largest SimplePlanes Discord server today with over 500 members (as of October, 2019).
Controversy[]
In the past, many members of the server had questioned the authority of the servers administrators including the owner. Members of the server often accused the owner and moderators of abusing their power or not doing there jobs properly. This only made the moderators more strict.
Many times before, Dllama4’s ability to run the server was questioned. Many claimed that he was incompetent and that a moderator or developer from the SimplePlanes website should have owned the server. These accusations eventually died down and Dllama4 remained owner of the server.
There have been many instances of moderators abusing their power and toxicity, but the moderators promoted it, and even broke the own server's rule, which didn't allow "starting drama".
August, 2019[]
In August of 2019, Dllama4 transferred ownership of the server to SimplePlanes website moderator, Tully2001 for unknown reasons. Tully2001 only owned the server for a brief period of time before transfering ownership to Mod, another SimplePlanes website moderator. As of October, 2019, the Discord server is owned by high-ranking SimplePlanes user, Othawne.
